The Garden Barn Grown label began as a dream conceived by Dennis and Kathy Gliha, the senior owners of The Garden Barn.  That dream, being able to grow our own products, has since become a reality.  Thirty years after opening the retail garden center we expanded, adding ¾ of an acre of indoor and outdoor growing space to create gorgeous annuals and perennials ideal for gardens in Connecticut.  This facility enables us to produce many of the annuals and perennials available in our greenhouse and nursery.  As an added benefit, these plants come out of production ready for your garden, having already acclimated to our climate.

We also have coordinated our supply directly with the demands of our customers, eliminating waste and ensuring all your favorite varieties are in stock, in season, when you are ready to take them home. 

Growing our own plants also reduces our environmental impact by eliminating shipping from our supply chain, reducing emmissions and making gardening with The Garden Barn a truly green experience.
